anyways, i'm just glad to be done with university life but now comes another tough part to deal with... the job hunt.. hahha... well.. nothing coming my way right now.. but u can be sure there'll be something here when that happens..

It's been over a month since mum passed away.. still miss her loads from time to time.. esp when i'm home and there's no one else around.. just feels so empty... still praying every sat with my sister in the morning.. until her 49th day.. it'll also be the day i can get back to eating non-vegetarian food.. it's not been easy trust me.. but for mum.. anything's worth it...

finally cleared all assignments and projects and stuff le.. so can focus on the final push liao.. been working on my scooter so much that i havent really been able to get other things done...

it has been a rather tough week.... everything just happened so quickly that i guess i wasn't really able to turn around fast enough to realise that it's already over...

was accompanying my mum in the hospital on friday last week and before i knew it, i lost her on sunday... then with a very quick turn of events, i've already said bye bye to mummy yesterday and settled her down properly today... hope she likes her new home... =)

she's now in a better place... and we all have to live on strongly for her...

i have to make sure i graduate properly to show her... =)

Tiring CNY...

this cny hasn't been easy man.. hahaha... first there was the big cleanup.. had to make sure everything was really thorough otherwise next year only left my 5jie and me alone cleaning the house... cos 4jie's getting married in Feb... that took quite an effort of mammoth proportions man.. hahaha.... but we got through in the end...

then there is my mum being hospitalised on the first day of cny.. boy that was tough... one moment she was fine, the next she was shivering cold in bed from high fever.. doctors are still waiting for her blood test results, but it sure wasn't any good watching her phasing in and out of consciousness through the first night of fever cos it was simply too high ald... hopefully it is nothing serious and she can come home soon la... jia you mummy!!

well, travelling between home to tend to my visitors and SGH for my mum finally took it's toll on me today in school.. i literally had a hard time keeping my eyes open man... hahaha... shag... but still have to pull through.. tonight will try to rest a bit cos my sisters are there taking care of her today plus she's much more sober now though still very forgetful... something i'm still pretty much worried about...

also feel very bad my dear dear is worrying so much abt me.. i'll be fine after some rest tonight la.. got my sisters and dad helping out so i can still concentrate on my schoolwork... plus got u!! caring for and loving me in this trying times.. i'm really grateful and thankful for all ur love and care.. thanks dear!! =)

gotta go le.. still gotta grab dinner and go for my last tutorial till 7.30pm... had to start my new school week on my longest and most packed day man.. hahaha... =) hope everyone's had a great lunar new year!! muz jia you and persevere on like me k? adios! haha... even Christmas can also be busy for me right? hahaha... ya... it can...

havent been home for dinner for the entire week la!! hahah.. monday meet at City Hall, then tuesday met the boys at Parkway, giving Sauron dinner a miss!! (sorry peeps!!)

well, here's my proof!!

went to dear's family christmas celebration yesterday night and then today went to catch her singing with NJChorale.. beautiful voices... good thing my music no need my voice.. otherwise sure scare ppl away one lor.. hahaha... had a delightful stroll from Traders' to Orchard.. ya.. orchard on christmas day... u muz be thinking we were crazy right? Damn right u are!! hahaha... but dinner at Shokudo was tasty!! then slowly made our way home to conclude the very sweet Christmas week.. hahaha...

tmr still gotta go back get my balancing scooter tuned up properly.. haha... final tuning liao... hopefully we can get it all up properly man..

hope everyone's Christmas has been as wonderful if not better!! be it with ur family, frens or other loved ones.. keep it sweet and let it linger on till the New Year!! =)

after surviving a lousy bout of gastric flu and feverish weekend (which resulted in me missing out on the KL trip) (SAD!!!) missed out so much!! haiz...

at least something worked out well in the end.. thank goodness the scooter is now alive and balancing by itself when powered on!! hahaha... been working on it so much that i've forgotten wat it's like to jus laze at home and do nothing liao... hahaha...

now still gotta try and clear out some of the old problems with new solutions which will probably take up loads of time too all the way till march when i have to submit my final draft le... but for the desired grade, i'll still give it my all!! hahaha.. that's me when i set a target.. hahaha...

tiring but accomplishment takes over and nullifies everything bad.. hahaha.. hopefully can get it done sooner and start my work on the report too.. =)

but more importantly, can't wait for my Christmas holiday break!! seriously need a good relaxing one man.. hahaha... anything but FYP will be fine.. hahaha....

haha... why? cos i long time nv blog ma.. then got a lot of things to post here this time around.. =P so bear with me k?

ok la.. not a lot actually.. jus dat this past two weeks has its ups and downs lor.. hahaha...

well, downs have basically been dat we're still struggling with the self balancing scooter that still hasn't been able to balance itself.. hahaha... then there's the cursed bugger who stole petrol from my bike by pulling out my fuel pipe!! curse that bugger.. my bike's a little cranky too, probably cos of the weather ba.. and i still have along list of to dos to slowly clear...... hopefully can clear them before end of the year.. This sat also gotta take bus into KL by myself to go catch the competition because the fyp cannot finish... plus i dun wanna miss it for 2 weeks in a row, so i sacrifice one (definitely cannot be the second one.. hee...) but will catch the conpetition in time ba.. hahaha... Jia you Keat Hwa!!

ups, need i say more? hahaha... it's all over my facebook, msn and all over the shop la.. hahaha... went mambo-ing last wednesday and then St James on Sat.. squeezy and difficult to dance compared to a few years ago.. hahaha.. but had a lot of fun cos its the first time i'm really just enjoying the music and dance feeling very important and loved.. hahaha... felt magical... as always...

met up with a couple of old frens to do a simple send off dinner for Jun Min, who's gg to Switzerland for a yr!! so shiok!! i also wanna go... but i also dun wanna go... hahaha... so conflicting... hehehe... but damn happy for her la.. hope u have fun there girl... dun go too havoc over the guys there k? heeeheee....

haha.... jus took my Engineers and Society paper today and i'm not supposed to be complacent, but it's the first time in my 4 yrs in NTU dat i feel dat perhaps, jus maybe perhaps i might be able to score well in a paper in school lor.. hahaha... and wat better way than to do it with my most stunning ability, to crap my way through... hahaha... yupz.. even i'm amazed at my ability to crap sometimes... more so for this and HRM.. hahaha...

wellz, tmr's the LAST PAPER le!! and u can be sure u'll definitely find me here posting abt it tmr man... hahaha... cos after that is hols which is ald beginning to become pretty booked the way i see it... hahaha... okies... gotta go le... still gotta prep for my final battle tmr!! hahaha... hopefully can score again and let this sem go down in my academic history as the best semesters of all ba!! hehehe....

jus got back to school after lunch at JP straight from S&RC after HRM paper... even though it was only 2 hr paper, i came out with a swelling and hurting right hand sia... hahaha... write too hard liao... plus i've nv written this much for any paper lor... hahaha.... watever came to my mind i could crap one i jus threw right into the paper liao... hahahaha....

after lunch finally got to vent my frustrations out at the arcade!! hahaha.... waited a while before i got my turn at the drum mania machine.. woohoo... still as good at it man... hehehhe.... got my new tapz card too... with a nice Ichigo at the back of the card printed onto it... wahahaha.... i know somebody will be raving mad lor... hahaha....

yupz... i'm not exempted man... stayed in hall this past week and have been spending insane hours studying and revising the modules for this semester... sitting at the same table, in the same place... my little corner in Old Canteen A... hahah....

ran into a junior the other day and got asked: "wat happened to ur hair?" hahaha....

well, if i'm crazy enough to take a shot of my mugger look this exam period i might jus post it up soon... hahaha... minimal attention to outlooks man... plus it is much more complimented by my new specs.. hahaha... well, given my mad hours studying, contact lenses are out of the question anyways.. hahaha...

home for the night.. had a good nice homecooked meal... and my bed for the night.. after dat gonna chiong more 18 hour days from tmr onwards le!! hahaha....

a biker's life....

was riding home today when i watched the sunset along the way to the bike shop... wonderful... and this is one of the other reasons why i'm very sure i will nv give up riding a motorcycle...

despite the constant reminders from friends and family abt the dangers of riding, and even seeing for myself first hand how riders get into accidents on the roads too... i've nv been more certain that i'll ride for my entire life... because i'm very confident dat i will be able to avoid all possible scenarios of accidents dat u can come up with dat i can predict and foresee to avoid.. hahaha....

dun get me wrong.. this doesn't mean dat i wun drive at all... in fact, i will drive and ride at the same time... riding alone and driving others around when i have to... =) hahaha... dat'll be my second major plan, after getting my dream house... woohoo!! hahaha... =)

kopi-Carnation?

hahaha... perhaps some of u might have ald known, but i kinda slow so i only knew this like yesterday...

actually found out the real meaning behind the C in the Kopi-C or Teh-C dat we always order, or at least i order one la.. hahaha... it's actually because of the brand of the evaporated milk "Carnation" dat led to this short form... hahaha... wonderful right? for those who dun drink tea or coffee, it's cos instead of adding condensed milk like normally, ppl want evaporated milk and sugar instead... hence this term surfaced... hahaha... like many others too!!

one classic would be "tak kiu" which basically means Milo for those who dunno.. hahah... cos Milo has always been related to soccer on their advertisements outside of their cans and all... hahaha.... =)

learnt something interesting and new again!! hahha... dat's why i say it's always fun to attend my elective lectures...

so next time u go order a drink u can try calling for Kopi-Carnation instead ba!! hahaha!! =P

the biker has a name today, cos he finally decided to ask me in class and made me answer his question.. hahaha... "Who are you?"

interesting question right? got so many ways to answer this question... cos today we were talking abt pop culture and consumerism.. and we were talking abt the "Me" and the "I" in all of us...

"me" being the self that we wanna portray to the significant others in our lives.. and "i" simply being a reaction to the "me".... hahaha..... to put it simply, there's no true self in all of us.. and for those who have foolishly been thinking that there is a true self in us, one which is not affected by how others feel, dream on man... it's not gonna happen.. hahaha....

simply because subconsciously, we're always thinking abt how others will think of us, which eventually shapes how we behave and who we are...take some time to think deep abt wat u've been doing all these years... hahaha.... it does make sense!! =P

well, i actually went to catch High School Musical 3 for the second time the next night after i watch it first time.. hahaha... caught quite a few details i didn't notice when i first watched it... hahaha... crazy but since i nv pay for it so nvm lor.. hehehe...

well, the third installation feels good.. but no deep impression songs like the last two seasons.. however, the choreography is terrific!! of course there's the usual lover boy and girl dat superficial ppl will go for lor...

so if u're a fan of it, grab a few good frens who will scream and lol with u and go get the tickets ba!! =)

well, i guess not a lot of ppl will agree, but personally, i've found a purpose in my life here this time around... in fact many ppl are here to do jus dat... but probably in a different manner ba...

i'm here to spread the love!! hahaa...

nope... it's not jus BGR love dumb dumb... it's greater love... or wat we would normally term as 大爱... hahha... Chim right? wow!! nv knew i had it in me sia.. until i really took a close look reflecting back in my life, looking at wat i've been doing and everything then i realised wat it was all abt... shall not list them down cos it'll take a long long time sia... haha.... (buay hiao bai right?) hehehe....

but then again, i ask myself in the usual conflicting manner again.. where do i find all this big love coming from within me? hahaha... i see it as something dat everybody has, but in me, i found it earlier and decided to share it... many ppl use the love they have within them for different purposes, some use it for themselves, some use it for ppl they care for, while others like me, i share it with anyone who needs it and comes along the way...

dat's why many will think dat i'm always not caring for myself, but in fact, i am... cos seeing everyone grow, become happier, seeing things clearer in their minds, and learning their lessons in life is something dat fills my heart with more happiness than i can get from anywhere or anyone else...

then again, i'm only human...i too have my days of loneliness, and it sucks, but well, we learn to live with it... =P

this resulted in a shift in focus.. hahaha... i've so much to give everyone, but always so little for myself... hahaha... so it's high time to change it liao...

Yes... my life focus has begun to shift once more... working in secret to start making some changes liao... letting my inner self show more.. but dun worry, i'll still be around to continue listening, learning and sharing cos dat's still wat i do best..

Jus last week, the family got together to celebrate mama's 61st birthday.. the second since the discovery... in typical fashion, we attracted quite a bit of attn cos when everybody got together, it was a big group of 19... hahhaa.... split into two tables... got my sister to take photos cos i was busy helping clear all the food from the children's table... hahaha..... and in the end she took photos of the children only.. hahaha.... here they are...

i'm now officially known as the biker in my socio lecture liao... many thanks to my lecturer who somehow miraculously managed to guess i was a rider out of the blue and eventually remembered me as that... hahaha...

esp when i returned to the LT after my break a little later and he declared to the entire class that "ok, the biker's back, so we may begin watching the show.." to start showing the video he wanted to play after the break... hahaha.... everyone turned around to look la.. hahaha.. so funny!! some more i was like seated in the middle of the class there.. hahaha...

but i always love attending this module's lectures... cos they are simply always so interesting and i'm always learning something new every week, be it perceiving things in a different way or gaining some new knowledge that i've not known before... hahaha...

will probably ask wat else he still teach... might jus join in his classes next sem too!! since i still got 2 more to clear.. hahaha... =)

now that the air is clear, n my mind is cleared too, i can finally really embark on my journey to finding the self i lost to premature maturity back in Secondary school...

my life experiences have made me who i am today, and because of many circumstances, i've lost a lot of chances to truly do wat i've always wanted to do on my own... even though it's even more difficult to get away now, i still feel it's time i did it for me...

there are so many things i wanna do, but i know for sure one thing stands out right now for me.. that i can achieve it asap.. as for the others, i will accomplish them when i have the means, with the earliest maybe starting from graduation...

it's always nice to be driven around sometimes, even as pillion on the bike, and jus having my role switched.. feels really wonderful.. though i dun get that often.. perhaps dat makes it all the more wonderful doesn't it? hahaha....

i also know why i dun have blood related younger siblings liao.. cos then i wldn't have had the chance to have found a great fren, a wonderful sister n loads of other younger frens who nv fail to add colour to my life being a big brother figure to them... =) n i'm really thankful for all that.. nv regretted a moment at all.. nv will... =) need to slp.. too tired liao.. all else can wait, my slp cannot.. hahaha... =P

my mood has since miraculously lifted considerably.. though still sceptical, but i'm hopeful dat this will be the beginning of the end of my emo monster within... i really desperately need to get it out of my system sia... jus like the many other issues i have within (that can be disclosed that is)..

i need to take up the right perspectives that i know will be good for me le.. have to be nicer to myself too..

i can't be more thankful than i am right now.. finally noticing the angel who'd been around me but i chose to keep away for irrational and stupid reasons...

hahha... went for some pool time today... like finally lor!! it's been a long time since i last swam.. being around the one element dat takes all worries off my mind and body... macham like diffusion like dat..

sad thing today is dat somehow after i climb out of the pool everything got sucked back into my head again.. hahaha... but it still felt good anyhows... jus dat it didn't last for very long.. haiz...

i'm always good at listening to others, but nobody around me ever realises or seems to know how bad my internal mental situation really is in fact.. perhaps my masking skills too good ba.. hahaha... and to be someone i can really confide everything in is not a feat accomplished by anyone as yet... not even my best fren or anyone... because simply nobody knows.. or even if they know, they dunno wat to do with me.. cos i'm jus like dat crab with a super hard shell made of steel... takes too much effort to crack.. hahaha... in the end ppl who try get tired or hurt in the process, driving them away...

u guys probably can't even imagine how badly it sucks to be feeling wat i'm feeling right now man... it jus sucks terribly..

could also be that i've been staying away from water for too long... i guess not many ppl know but i'm really a water type by nature.. the water calms me.. so long i'm in water i'll feel calmer than ever... so it's time i went back to swimming liao... even jus soaking in the pool will feel good lor i think... hahaha...

blasted close to 500 bucks today bringing my baby down for inspection and renewal of her road tax and insurance...phew!! there goes a few months of hard work.. but it wun be till another yr then i'll have to worry abt it again.. hahaha....

For LTA's information, my average speed everyday is abt 80km/h lor.. even in the jams.. unless i have some smart guy who doesn't look into his mirror and realise that we're queueing behind him.. hahaha...

Now they jus built one new one between my exit at Bedok Reservoir and Eunos lor!! *$#%!! haiz... i saw it this morning and was really shocked and pissed off la!! when will this stop?? hahaha... i jus wanna complain la.. i'm not bothereed by paying actually.. but jus wanna make noise lor... hehehe....

seriously dunno wat to blog these days cos it's been a very mixed two weeks.. hahaha... plenty of things happening and plenty of things to think abt and not forgetting plenty of things to study too!! hahaha...

Yay!! i did well for my Understanding Singapore Society module quiz! but i S/Ued the module liao.. plus the exam is jam packed in between my core modules with no days to spare to read. i'm thinking it might be a good choice i S/Ued it.. hahaha... but it still feels good.. though confusing cos i now wonder if i've been studying the wrong course all along??? hahaha...

now studying for nano quiz... as i term it in my msn.. the smallest quiz, but with the most amount of information to remember lor.. sianz...

as usual, spending my loner thursdays by myself again in Library 2 today.. no thanks to another change by xiaoyang that my thursdays are getting emptier again.. hahaha... but i dun mind.. got some more free time..

have been feeling much more motivated to study since the start of this week.. hmm... dunno why suddenly will like dat, but so long i am studying, dat's a good thing.. hahaha...

haha.. i've always been seen as one who accomplishes big things with activities and other things dat i get involved in.. however, there's always this little portion of me that's forever reluctant to practicing wat i preach most of the time to others..

well, not totally reluctant la.. i'm making progress.. in all areas except one.. sensitive... hahaa...

can u believe it? i even cleared the worst of my nightmares of programming my fyp microprocessor liao leh.. dat's like a life hurdle for me lor.. hahaha... nv been a big fan of programming.. hahhaa... but i know i muz learn somehow, sometime.. so i deliberated, but still went ahead with it in the end.. so i'm feeling a great sense of accomplishment tonight!!

i'm working on the last area in baby steps.. not easy k? given wat i've been thru and how my character is.. it'll be a miracle shd i find the strength to change it by tonight.. hahaha...

i always love watching the sunsets in NTU.. they nv fail to amaze me.. also putting that highly needed calmness into my forever busy mind... caught one more yesterday while on my way to LWN library to scan stuff for my MP4011 project report... nice looking rays shining through the clouds.. plenty more in my collection.. next time post some more.. =)

haha... stepped back into zouk again after quite a while being out of action liao.. but was enjoyable nonetheless.. packed like sardines last night la.. making my poor poor actions so restricted.. hahaha.. ran into a couple of familiar faces too while crossing the dance floor.. hahaha...

good thing we stayed till the end.. otherwise the night would have been killed by the lack of our favourite mambo numbers sia.. =P

shiok feeling.. ended 4am, reached home 5am and now i'm back in school for more project work!! haha.. but i'm still pretty energetic la so not so bad.. haha... jus feeling a little sore on the back still from the seemingly endless night.. hahaha...

best frens for 10 yrs liao leh.. sounds old right? hahaa... since our lower sec days, meeting in CO and then staying as frens all the way till this day, something very rare, even for me.. hahaha...

went for tea time buffet at NTU's Sakae Sushi.. hahah.. no GST, service charge or watsoever nonsense, $16, with one free Red Plate, one bowl of udon, and dessert.. really a bargain sia.. hehehe... had a load of laughs because of my obsession with salmon as they go by on the conveyor.. haha.. then caught up on each other's lives and family and boyfren.. cos we dun see each other very often..

but we nv fail to have a great time out, cos we're forever running impromptu.. go where, eat where, do wat, all think on the spot and wherever we most want to at that moment in time.. amazing.. hahaha... so in the end, went shopping at bugis, bought myself a pair of jeans and bought her a dress for her birthday gift.. in return i get a free haircut treat at Chapter 2 from her as my belated belated belated birthday present la.. hahaha.... but i like the cut.. nice...

all in all, thanks qun!! and all others close to me, cos without u ppl i wld nv have had such a wonderful life so far.. =D

well, had a good weekend i muz say, though yesterday was mostly tuitioning.. hahaha.. tired.. but meaningful.. working with my tuition kids have always been enriching for me... really hope they do well, be it in academics or in life..

wat better way to start the holidays than to end of the lousy week with a good friday night out... haha...

arranged for dinner with bro last night then had the crazy thought of gg to arcade to vent some frustration.. played bball, drun mania, bishi bashi, daytona ,etc.. seriously relived some lost days sia... been a long time since i last went ot play in the arcade la!! it was so different from when i last went lor!! (paiseh ah, mountain turtle here..)

then decided to ride all the way east to East Coast Park, where i recommended the best place to chill at The Beach Hut!! hahaha.. of course i know cos i worked there before la.. but the atmosphere was good with a cook sea breeze, the band playing behind us, a good pint of San Miguel, and of course, Chicken Wings!! shiok.. totally aced the entire brothers' night out man.. woohoo!!

caught a glimpse of a raid or fight of some sort while riding down Geylang on the way back for some petrol.. Cool!! 4 Police SOC vehicles and an ambulance were activated.. hahaha.. wonder wat happened.. saw some guy with blood on his shirt.. 0_0!

enjoyed the cold wind back on the ride home at 3 something in the morning.. wonderful once again.. really lifted wat was a terrible week for me... Thanks bro!! and thanks to everyone who cared throughout the week!! really appreciate it!! =D

had a wonderful weekend, started off with the night out with the Sauron, Grimmjaw, Bee Gees extended family.. hahah... had steamboat dinner at Canteen 5, then went over to Yunan Garden for a funny time at the Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations held there.. made our own mooncakes and burnt quite a few lanterns! hahaha...

then hung out at the Staff Lounge at Nanyang Executive Centre till the end... hhaha... couldn't really enjoy cos my tummy was at it again, grumbling the entire night thru like it had been since wednesday.. so was a bit moody again.. hahaha.. but nonetheless still managed to have quite a lot of laughs with the kids.. hahaha.. they nv fail to brighten up my day with their antiques..

well, i wasn't too bad with my last suggestion for the forfeit too!! hahaha... well done Kenny and Xueqian!! woohoo!! hahaha...=P

watched a movie on SCV today called "peaceful warrior" and started thinking abt some of the things mentioned in the show abt living in the now.. once again thought abt how we all spend so much time recalling wat happened in the past, worrying abt wat's gg to happen in the future, so much that we forget to notice wat is right in front of our faces and around us..

we let our past experiences rule our decision making in the present when they are meant to be references instead.. we also let our fears of wat's to come in the future affect our decisions now purely based on our own conjectures, which are most of the time jus plain stupid worries over baseless thoughts that are generated in our own heads...

but it's ever so difficult to jus bring ourselves into the present and living in the now, pushing aside the worries and fears we all have inside us right? hahaha... i have difficulties doing that too.. but we shd all try to jus live out of wat society puts on us.. wat expectations we put on ourselves and jus try to live our lives happily in the now...

i wish for everyone to be able to do that!! =) jia you!!

later gotta go socialise at the MAE Club investiture.. hopefully get a chance to speak to the new President and also introduce my successor to the new team.. this way then can keep the bond between the camp and the schools strong n keep the Insinyur Flame burning high high!! hehehe...

then gotta go get car for my mum's trip up malacca with my sister.. too bad i can go cos i have presentation this week..

end of the week got Mid-Autumn festival celebrations with all my Insinyur children, grand-children and great-grand children!! then also have to help with organising my neighbourhood celebrations on sat with the RC after my TMSA ExCo meeting..

haiyo.. i list them down i also wanna die liao... and still got more packing in lor.. on top of my tuitions and also my FYP... O_O! sweats..

after a long day, went to wind down with a few of the kids and bro and sis... hahaha.. (cannot disclose names, for confidentiality..) kidding la..

went for seafood at Chomp Chomp and then durian at Joo Chiat there.. nice... SUPER FULL though.. sadly, my mood wasn't there and my stomach wasn't really playing along too after not having eaten throughout the day for such a heavy meal.. hahaha....

but moodwise was more or less settled after riding around the entire night by myself, which i believe is THE most distance i've covered in one day... 3 times across PIE in one day from east to west... hahahaha... madness.. but i needed it.. esp the later ride.. really put me in better mental shape after dat.. hahaha...

Main Comm Dinner!!

haha... went for dinner with the old and new main comm members of Insinyur.. or at least some of them la.. hahaha...

Went to Fishermen's Wharf across the road from Central. Nice cosy little shophouse with no air con and other frills... jus plain old simple shop serving nice fish n chips at $6.50!! hahaha... no other charges and stuff.. might wanna go back n try the other stuff though... cos like everybody and anybody ordered Fish n Chips lor!! hahaha....

then walked over to Central to have Hokkaido Ice Cream!! Yummy!! hahaha... had a good abdominal workout too when the story of the lychees and raisins was told.. wahahaha.... then we played brainteasers till our heads ached before taking nice nice photos and heading home from the cosy sofa area downstairs in the mall itself... will post them when the photos get into facebook... hehhe....

after dat went to have a drink with my bro at the kandi bar... had my usual Gunner fix which was better than ever... hahaha... but i can make it myself... jus short of the last important ingredient only ma... hahaha.. but still as tasty.. =) it was really the company that counted man... dun think u can find another two men who can chat like this for hours over topics wider than i can ever imagine sia... hahaha... not the first time like this also liao... best right? where we find all these topics to talk abt? hahaha... i wonder...

but sharing the experiences i've learnt over the years( those that can share one la.. ) has always been something i do with frens... esp closer ones.. cos i feel that no one shd ever fall into the dumps like i have before.. and if i can do something for someone, (whether it works or not is another issue) i'll share it so long the person is willing to listen.. hahaha... =) dat's me!! =D i also love to listen to others too cos that's where i get more lessons and experiences from to add into my database and libraries.. hahaha....

haha... after a day in waiting, i've finally gotten my laptop back again... in the end it was really the installation discs dat had problems lor... sianz... but nevertheless, my leptop is back in tip top condition and we're ready to take on new challenges for the academic year liao lo!!

my bike's also back in action ald.. after a repair to a part which i have absolutely no idea how it broke off.. perhaps it hit resonance with my bike's vibration.. hahaha.... oh well, so long she's back on the road again and nothing else went wrong, i can't be more happier!! =D

fried some rice this morning to bring to school for lunch today.. after seeing that box of leftover rice in the fridge for 2 nights liao.. hehe... took me longer than usual cos havent really been in the cooking action for quite some time le.. hahaa.. 15 mins altogether.. to fry, pack and wash up.. hehe... then had to fly out of the house liao.. though i couldn't be bothered really if i was dat late for the first lecture on nanotech... heehee.. oops...

the mind's a lot clearer now... after having talked some sense into myself.. i'm good at dat.. hahaha... hopefully it'll stay this way for quite some time.. in fact for as long as it can... hahaha...

feeling lame lately.. muz be the cold weather making me like dat... hahaha...

sucks.. first my baby had to be towed away on friday, then now my other baby has to go for repairs.. My laptop.. my pride and joy for the past 3 yrs is gg for checkup liao.. hahaha... dunno wat's wrong, but cannot reformat right now, so she's a blank inside.. hahaha.. luckily i pulled all memory out before i did it.. so now have to resort to blogging in school or using desktop at home.. hahaa...

had to rush my presentation slides for the team this morning at 4am so as not to wake my sister up from her slp cos the comp is in their room lor.. hahaha...

had a good weekend, chilling , relaxing, having fun joking abt some cute comment passed by someone and also some cool but confusing driving spin to nowhere.. hahaha...

now slacking in front of a computer in LWN.. hahaha... tired sia... from morning until now and later still got lecture till 7.30pm... shd be meeting qun for a quick bite before heading home ba... =)

will think i shd avoid gg online tonight sia.. too many things to complete and too little time.. scared i fall asleep like last night then have to wake up in the middle of the night to complete my slides... hahaha...

had the most REALISTIC and SCARY nightmare EVER la!! totally jolted me up from my sleep.. some more it was abt me travelling on the road with my dad and sister.. kaoz.. only short of crapping in my pants and i wld have made it historical sia... had the feeling of flying in my nightmare after colliding with a wayward car on the road where i had absolutely no time to react at all... bike hit straight on and i got flung off far away onto a grass patch, landing on my butt with nothing injured... (funny right? can't make sense of it still..) but ya.. then i woke up before i could go check on my dad and sis...

one of the most vivid and most scary encounters ever liao.. u dun get any scarier than that lor... dang!! jus recalling it sends shivers down my back... hahaha...

but feeling quite different from when i first started off school 2 weeks ago.. back then, many things were still hovering over my mind constantly... but they've seemed to have found their way out of my ald congested brain liao.. perhaps i shd install ERP in my brain to prevent the traffic congestion yeah? haha...

watched the National Day Rally by PM Lee and really enjoyed it throughout.. he touched on issues close to Singaporeans and made great suggestions to try and improve on the issues raised.. Liberalising the Society is a big move... a risky one in fact, with the trends and problems from other countries which have done that all running into walls n walls of issues.. hahaha... but then again, i'm sure they'll find their way out like they've always had throughout the years...

Shall not get too political liao.. if not i get caught.. then u all will see me on the news le.. hahaha... Overall, i loved the Rally speech for it's interactivity and it's captivating presentation.. 2 hrs passed in a flash... hahaha...

i muz watch wat i say too... cos i really nv know who's reading my blog... hahahahaha..... jus like i found out yesterday after the concert... hahaha... but it's always nice to have ppl reading it.. cos i can share my experiences and feelings with everyone!! whether i know u or i dun know u.. doesn't really matter.. cos dat's jus me.. =)

congrats to Singapore's Women Table Tennis Team for their wonderful silver medal achievement in the Beijing 2008 Olympics!! hahaha... caught the hair ripping match on friday in Can A together with a number of other supporters who cheered the team on all the way till they won!! hahaha.. so funny.. and stayed home and glued to the tv, watching them go all out against a very well trained Team China..

Wonderful fight and even better showmanship in this match.. totally enjoyed every moment of the game sia!! the Chinese supporters are so friendly!! even cheering Singapore on once.. hahaha...

Great Job!! Let's hope this is the start of more medals to come!! woohoo!! =D

Supper Hop 2008!! Long entry sia...

the long awaited annual Post Camp activity: Insinyur Supper Hop came again!! 15th August 2008.. hahaha... with LOADS and LOADS of FUN! FUN! FUN! =)

decided to throw in something different this year from last year's supper hop, had a bbq dinner for everyone together before we headed off to Cineleisure for movie.. it was a logistical nightmare for me... having ordered the food over internet early thursday morning at like 3.30am la... then couldn't concentrate in lessons cos was thinking how to fit everyone for supper lor... where to go and wat to eat.. it was like 212 ppl for supper lor!! i muz be nuts if i put everyone on the same route... so in the end decided to go 2 routes.. then switch and meet back again... so went over to Al-ameen that stretch in Bukit Timah and then Geylang, gathering lastly at Tiong Bahru for breakfast at 5plus am, with quite a lot of sleepy ppl sprawling all over the tables la... hahaha.. if i can get the photos i'll post here k? hahaha...

overall it was tiring, but a fulfilling final event for me as Chair for Camp Insinyur.. a fitting and memorable end for me and a great start to the next camp in preparation!! i can safely say that this is THE LARGEST Supper Hop organised in Camp Insinyur and NTU History sia... hahaha.... will remember this for life man!! hahaha... if u wanna catch me in stupid poses dat night, can go catch me on my facebook photos.. hahaha...

dozed off for a while in my hostel room before rushing back home to prep for the TMSA Annual General Meeting where i was supposed to present my TMSACO report to the assembly.. hahah... which i wasn't prepared for at all la. cos no time to work on it sia... so rushed thru everything and luckily managed to get it done la.. hahaha... but super shag liao.. cos only grabbed like 2 hrs of shuteye lor.. then lasted thru the night till 2am before knocking out.. hahaha...

woke up early for tuition today.. back to back cos apparently everyone shifted tuition to sunday... so from 10am teach till 11.30, go home change and then continue from 1.30 till 3.30 again... hahaha..

Suddenly felt like dressing up a little so rumbled thru my wardrobe and found my black striped shirt which i bought when i went shopping with Sher once.. nice shirt it turned out.. even though it was a bit formal for the Disney Concert by PAYCO, i still felt happy wearing it.. cos it jus felt good.. who cares what others think man!! hahaha...

enjoyed the concert.. the combined orchestra by PA's performance groups was a great mix by Maestro himself.. wonderful arrrangements, though a little short.. it being a 1.5 hr concert.. hahaa... but relived many disney movie theme songs.. Lion King, Prince of Egypt, Tarzan, and even Mary Poppins!! hahaha... was very western but still had that tinge of oriental feel to it, keeping it CO... hahaha...

had a different holiday weekend this national day... hahaha....

went back to school to get my mountain of information for my FYP.. still trying to get thru it all.. then joined the GLs for their steamboat at bugis and tow huay at selegie after my tuition with the boys..

sat saw me at SAFRA Tampines with my tuition boys for a relaxing day after having seen how they're all tensed up for the exams prep.. so old man me agreed to go play pool with them and fren dom... had a rough start.. cos it's been a long long time since i've last touched pool... but i got my game together in the end which i was pretty happy with... =)

today was a relaxing day for me... after tuition with minn, i got home and slacked a good part of the day... taking a nap in the afternoon to recover from the irritating flu i've gotten since thursday night... *sniff sniff* sians....

hence, the weekend was generally happy la... jus that had to keep suppressing the stupid nose of mine... still got tmr packed with some activities!! =)

after a long day of sleepy lessons, i thought i wld be in for a tough time when i headed for the HS816 elective, Understanding Singapore Society.. moreover it's a 3 hr lecture at LT20 from 4.30pm to 7.30pm...

But the lecturer made it very interesting for me and kept my attention gg until he cut today's class at 6.30pm.. hahaha... he's really made me feel i made the right choice choosing this module in the end cos i really get to test my logical thinking skills in this class... hahaha... of course will sad la, cos i taking alone, so anyone interested join me k?? hahaha....

at least i know my wednesdays wun be so tiring... hehehe...

oh, and did i mention that my fren's baby is like super cute la!! saw the photo in class the other day and i jus couldn't resist smiling at the photo lor.. so CUTE!! Baby Amson.. interesting name... let my mum pronounce it will surely sound like handsome.. hahaha... good for the boy man!! woohoo!!

haha.. went shopping with qun today.. as usual, everything about our meet up was super impromptu lor... from msging to confirm the time, till where to go shopping, all decide on our feet when we have to... hahaha... been doing dat for such a long time that it actually feels fun!! cos there's no planning at all, jus meet up, and then do watever comes to our mind and go wherever we feel like there and then... hehehe....

Insinyur Spirit Lives On!!

Camp Insinyur 08 has come to an end and the camp was wonderfully completed this year with the help of many seniors and the participation of great freshies as well...

it being the longest camp ever and the first to move outdoors of NTU, was a challenge to both my main comm and the entire camp.. however, we managed to clear all obstacles and work our way through all troubles together to finish wat we had set out to do since last september... it was really wonderful...

i had a perfect main committee supporting me and also caring for me as i spent my third and maybe the last birthday with Camp Insinyur.. as usual, my best brother, Wei Ann chose a watch that was in my typical style that i personally loved, and also got everyone to sing along for me and dayana, who's birthday was a day before mine... of course not forgetting too that i was requested to repeat my performance on the first day to everyone on stage again.. hahaha... hpoefully no one recorded that on video.. hahaha... =)

a new system and culture has been set in place by the main comm this year and i can only hope that this will carry on for the camps to come in future and eventually we can see Insinyur growing stronger that ever and will finally be able to reach it's best and become one of the strongest and best FOC in NTU!! =)

did i mention, i love my main committee for this year's Camp Insinyur!! you guys have been super wonderful right from the start and i couldn't have asked for a better group formed for this task than any other... i'm really one lucky guy for having u guys around by my side...

next group i'm grateful to will have to be the wonderful students and alumni of TMSCO!! it's been a great joy working for and with the orchestra for the past 11 years.. wonderful memories, ups and downs of all kinds together... and hopefully many more yrs ahead with u all la... growing stronger and climbing higher... both TMSCO and TMSACO!! =)

it sucks whenever my gastric acts up for no good reason... one moment i was fine and attending the usher's meeting at SCH, the next morning i had everything i ate or had in me cleared out.. felt terrible... havent felt this way in like years... and suddenly it hit me super hard sia... hahaha.... laying down and unable to do anything at all for an entire day feeling all numb and weak.... sucks...

luckily i'm a little better today liao though i'm still steering clear of spicy and oily food for now... milk too....

Blk 216 market and hawker centre had it's last day of operations today to close for renovations which will last for half a year... this will also mean that a few of the stalls that i've grown to love for breakfast will also go into the history books... will miss the place though.. with great ppl to great food and prices as well... no choice la... everything increasing in price right? hahahha... now everything also blame the oil.. poor thing... hahaha....

went for TJCO alumni gathering last night at East Coast Park.. was a bbq but i went there late for dinner with my parents.. even though i was late, i still managed to meet up with everyone and have a good catch up with some of them... it was then that i realised that many of them are actually teachers or becoming teachers soon!! hahahaha... and two of them are actually interning at TMS right now in the Chinese Department... hahaha... interesting... =) will go back these few days to catch up with them while gg back for CO la...

getting lethargic again... but need to study also... haiz... dilemma of the century liao... =)

of course when i'm bored, Wahjong is the place to go... cos can play liao then jus quit as and when i like.. hahahaha... can jio me go there play at night when i'm online also... hahaha.. anytime ready for a game... hahaha... wanna arrange to come my house play also can... jus find ppl and let me know early ya? hehehe....

went over to my RC member's house last night to play with other RC members... hahha... yes.. ur truly is in my neighbourhood's resident's committee volunteering... hahaha... well, at least gets me around and knowing some of the neighbours around me... =) also got good places to go play Mahjong too!! jus opposite my home.. no need scared too late dunno how to go home... jus walk back only...

had the chance to wear green again yesterday.. after 2 yrs...i was mobilized yesterday again... was something different yet familiar for me... meeting the gang again n catching up with them... man... i look good in uniform... hahaha.... too bad cannot take photo and show u all... hahahaha.... kidding la... sweat like mad lor... hot day yesterday..

the past few days has been pretty rough for me... having gone down with fever and flu again... totally couldn't get anything done at all sia... many ppl were waiting for me to get stuff done.... hahahah.... sorry ah ppl... =)

but still, i went for lessons, coughing throughout, practically disturbing my prof the whole way.. and also my poor fren sitting beside me the whole time... then had to go for meeting elsewhere and still get some stuff for the goodie bags... phew!! got rest like no rest like dat... totally couldn't reply emails as well...

didn't feel like touching my laptop at all unless neccessary lor.... didn't even start playing viwawa until like yesterday or something though my wawa was created liao... hahaha.... Wahjong!! jio me when u all up there leh....

also managed to catch Sex and the City the movie due to a boo boo by my 4th sister booking the ticket that she wanted at the wrong cinema... so my 5th sister and i benefited from it naturally lor... hahaha....

was a good show in fact... love... between 4 frens who met 20 yrs ago and moving on to their second phase of their lives.. all having different relationships and of course its own set of problems and internal struggles with themselves... lovely closet of clothes too!! i wonder if ppl on the streets of new york really dress like they do in the movie? cos it's seriously out of my imagination man... but they still look pretty.. i guess dat's fashion right? and looking at me u know i suck at such stuff right? hahaha.... overall i enjoyed the show, though i've nv watched a single episode of it on HBO and i probably wun do so in the near future too... hahahaha.... good laughs and storyline well shot for the film... nice change from all the war war and fighting stuff.... hahahhaa...

well, as u can see, i'm not ur typical only soccer crazy, war and action flick kind of guy... in fact i love war and action films too... of course i keep myself updated with soccer still whenever there's a big match coming up (not as detailed as some who go right down to the player's names and size of their underwear and stuff u know...) hahaha.... yeah... well... i guess everyone has their own preferences ba... =)

go catch that film u've been wanting to catch for some time before it goes off air... cos nothing beats watching the show in a cinema.. not on ur pc or laptop... hahahaha... pirates!! garrrh!!! =) have fun!!

hahaha... jus finished with the allocation of FYP for my final year and now gotta start planning for my first sem in yr 4 with my frens liao.. hahaha... so rushed!!

then at the same time got tuition to manage and also Camp Insinyur which is very much into the final gear of things liao... only waiting for replies and hopefully a very good response!! been getting quite a few email queries abt the camp... hopefully with careful management, everything will go alright la.. =) school side is very screwed up with their planning and arrangement anyways... haiz... watever... =)

once again saw a reminder yesterday on my way back telling me a very compelling reason why i shd be riding safely....

yupz.. it was another accident.. this time it involved a bike, a pickup and a bus... well, i didn't see much, except for the fact that the bike slid under the back of the bus after falling i guess and the rider was very near the rear wheel... others were there helping him out already by the time i passed by so i jus took an early glimpse and focused on my riding away from the scene to keep traffic flowing... ( i can't say the same for other drivers though...)

Everybody knows riding is more dangerous, even i know dat, but it's a passion of mine already... jus as CO is a part of my life... the feel of the wind, the freedom to go wherever u like, i guess it reflects a lot on my true inner self, though not many ppl have seen it... i think only jus a few... hahaha...

this is also a reason why i make sure i remind other frens riding to be safe and others who intend to get a bike to ride to reconsider, only to take it up unless really required or really passionate abt it...

Lastly, those who have zero experience, i would also encourage all of u to find somebody whom u can trust and get him/ her to give u a ride around somewhere to have an experience of riding.. at least once... this will seriously clear some misconceptions about riders on the roads... n if u've got the spare cash, go pick up riding lessons and get the license.. but don't buy a bike if u're not comfortable with it... learn wat it's like from the rider's point of view... this way, u'll understand better n hopefully drive better in future... =)

Start of Special Sem....

today marked the start of my special semester taking a module of Business Finance.. a little tiring cos the lecture was like 3.5 hours long lor.. hahaha... but had a half hour break in between... so still quite tahanable lor... =)

the module seems to be getting interesting further down the road, and it also widens my perspective and concepts abt businesses and companies as well... hahha... hope to be able to learn a lot in the 5 weeks la...

the insinyur website is up and running liao!! YEAH!!... hahaha.... but sadly, yours truly the photo doesn't look very good lor.. cos she picked like the most awful looking shot of mine to put up there lor... the one where we were supposed to act "professional".... hahahahaha.... jus click on the insinyur blog link and go search around la... =)

went to recce the SP night location, SAF Yacht Club... Kaoz, the place is seriously very ulu lor... birds don't lay egg there sia... hahaha... but it had a wonderful sea view at the timing we'll be there... very nice... then hopped over to chalets there to recce the games' sites... after which, went for dinner with the SP comm... havent seen many of them for quite a while le... chatted and had dinner at swensons before calling it a night... =)

packed things up in the CO room yesterday with the juniors... hahaha... found all the history that nobody ever knew or understood.. but sadly, there was only me to enjoy with myself... hahaha.... but i still enjoyed it nonetheless... afterall it's 11 yrs of history for me...hahaha....

tonight went for wedding dinner of Sing Yen and her husband Guan Huat.. it's been a while since we last met... and even more so for the ppl i was sitting with tonight... met up with my TMSCO senior Wen Zhen, who played cello also with me back then when we were at Fengshan CC and also met others from Hsinghai and Hui An Huay Kuan... all the history for me when i jus started CO all came back... had a wonderful time reliving my Sec 1 CO days with Wen Zhen... thanks!!

memories are jus that wonderful.... as long as we choose to remember and keep the good ones.... =)

Dumplings!!

Rushed back home from last day of work at KFELS to get started on the annual big event in the family... Dumpling wrapping!! YEAH!!

ya... eat is fun but once u've been through all preparations every year, u know how torturous it can really be... prep work starts a week ahead, with the leaves being soaked and wiped daily... then we have friday night where we cooked the fillings for the dumplings... cutting took hours to mince and cut all ingredients for the dumplings... once everything was done it was close to 2am...

and cos i had to work half a day and we've decided to cut down the quantities to half this year, i only started wrapping in the afternoon... the routine started....

leave, rice, meat, tau sar, rice, fold and tie.... that went on for 80 dumplings... with 8 having double tau sar... hahaha... cos there wasn't enough meat to go around... left the cooking to my sisters and my mum... whom without we wouldn't have been able to learn this wonderful family dish...

here's the bunch!! all the hard work of so many ppl.... yummmy!!!!

after all was done, i hopped onto the massage chair and just KOed... too tired and still nursing an aching back from the overtime work during the last week in KFELS... then my sisters took turns to slp on the chair after their massage sessions too.. hahaha... so funnny....

woke up today at 4 plus wanting to go to work somemore... hahaha.... crazy!! then went to the markets with my mum to get all the prayer stuff ready to cook at home and settled everything by 12 plus jus now... cleaned up the house a little and here i am!! typing on my laptop for the first time in quite a few days.... still tired and will be dropping into my bed for a while again later... hahaha....

Finally Over!!

IA has finally ended for me in Keppel FELS... the place i've spent 5 whole months in... it did feel a little sad to leave the place cos i've made many many frens there who've really been nothing but supportive and wonderfully friendly to us during our stay there...

made our way to HR to collect the documents to sign before the day ended and then went over to the workshop to give out presents... too bad the rain caught up,( see, the sky also crying for our departure...) hahhaa, so listened to our chargehands telling us stories again and from Peter telling us to return after our graduation..

cleared our stores once the rain got smaller and finally went to main production office to chat with dave... without him, these 5 months wouldn't have been anything to us... Thanks Dave... will definitely call u up for a good meal outside one of these days... hahaha....

a big thanks to all staff of the mechanical section for the wonderful stay in KFELS... it couldn't have been more memorable than it has been... =)

i've always thought that days where meetings nv end only happen in Keppel FELS as project leaders... hahaha... but i realised soon that it's gg to happen to me tmr too!!

took the day off to handle the praying for my grandma's death anniversary... 24th year liao... the same age as me... only 2 months before my birth... many things to prepare and cook... jus settled the braised duck and ginko nut dessert tonight.. tmr morning still got vege, chicken curry and other things to get ready early in the morning... now slowly learning from mum so that can take over soon...

after praying got meeting with TMSCO teachers and Mr Cheng to discuss things about the CO over lunch at 1.30pm... many things to talk about liao... hopefully talk will result in actions following...

after that got meeting with my biz managers at 5.30pm at City Hall for Camp Insinyur, the engineering freshmen orientation camp dat'll be happening in July...

in the evening gotta make it back to Bedok Mac for an ExCo Meeting for TMSA at 7.30pm... dat'll will probably drag until abt 9 plus 10 before i get back home for rest and get ready for work again on saturday morning 7am in Tuas... hahaha.....

it's amazing wat humans can do and think when controlled by their emotions... so amazing sometimes it gets scary...

been thinking of a lot of things lately... mixed emotions everywhere... hahaha... lots of sadness when seeing all the tragedies on tv abt the earthquake and the cyclone... a bit of happiness when seeing my project proceeding on at work, though not as planned.. but still gg smoothly... and also feeling lonely when thinking of myself... hahahha.... tired, but anxious and excited abt wat my last Camp Insinyur in NTU will be like...

well, somethings we can control, we'll try to do something abt it... others where there's no control over it at all, i'm jus gonna leave it as it is liao... hahaha... dat's my policy now... =)

most important feeling i wanna have now is happy... =)and i hope everyone will have it too!!

wat's new? i'm as tired as ever sia... hahaha... work hasn't slowed down or stopped like it has for others doing IA.. instead i'm gonna be right packed all the way till the end of it... hahahha...

jus finished writing final report and submitted liao... at least that's a big big load off my shoulders... haaha....

enjoyable would be how i describe my experience in Keppel FELS... memorable as well... a big thanks to one and all for such a wonderful time...

it's also nice to see everyone chatting away on my tag board... keep the chatting gg ya... me sometimes not free come up so replies will be a bit late sometimes la... =)

hahah.. had to run for our lives at work yesterday after something snapped abt 10 storeys right above our heads when we were discussing some problems on the drill floor.. dashed like mad for cover and realised that a hanging weight that was tied up by a belt to test the load snapped into 2 and the weight jus came dashing down.. if not for the cables holding it i would probably not be doing this entry liao...

occupational hazards... ppl always ask u to avoid them, but how to when there's simply too many to avoid? pray hard hard everyday... hahaha....

went for RJC concert tonight.. well... can't say it was very good, but it's not bad also la... shan't go in depth here abt it.. hard to put in words... hahaha....

now looking forward to handover tmr and then TJCO's concert... hope it'll be much better... hahaha... =)

i'm seriously packed to the brim and with my last checking of my email, i'm officially flooded for the week until the weekend liao... haiz... dunno how to settle all this man... headache sia...

got my final IA report which is due this FRIDAY together with my LOGBOOK!! haiz...
gotta prepare proposals and notes for meeting this sat..
got tuition tmr and thursday evening..
have my prof visiting me on friday..
need to go work, pray and then chalet and then handover ceremony then chalet again till sunday...

kaoz... i will drown like nobody's business this week sia.. HELP!!

why am i still blogging at 3.40am in the morning? cos i dun wanna fall asleep for i have to return to work in a few hours time.. slping will prove to be too tough for me to fight against once i'm into it... hahha....

attended VJCO concert friday night, was late(very unusual of me) cos of my work again but still managed to catch XIANGLE conduct his debut pieces as conductor of the CO.. 奋勇 and 打鬼... nice man!! was a wonderful debut!! hope to see u on stage more next time ya!! it was a good concert nonetheless for me.. enjoying pieces i've long not heard.. some date back to 8 yrs.. hahaha... make me sound so old sia... but i really enjoyed myself... also acted as cameraman to help someone get a photo with a cute guy.. (dat sounds wrong coming from me right? cute guy...)watever.....

had a meeting in TMS abt CO stuff again, not bad... fruitful discussions.. will be working closely with everyone on the new changes coming up... =)ALUMNI!! Mr Goh needs us to confirm the numbers gg up to KL end of the year so he can get tickets for us!! let me know if u want ya?? cos i dun think he's coming Singapore so soon... Woohoo.. excited sia...

had loads of fun today with insinyur ppl at sentosa palawan beach... even the rain couldn't stop us from enjoying and trying out some of the beach games... so for those who didn't come, too bad... u missed it all... almost had my poor little back broken so many times today... hahhaha... but it was a fun day... =) now waiting for photos to be put up on insinyur blog... girl!! muz hurry up liao ah..... =)

time to go do other things to stay awake le!! =)

it's wonderful when u have a best fren whom u know that even if nothing was planned for the evening out, both of u will have a great time either doing something together or simply jus sitting around and jus chit chatting... this is the kind of best fren i have in qun.. we're always saying go out for dinner and stuff, but every now and then we'll jus spontaneously go do something out of the blue... hahaha... but it'll still be fun!! we're jus a very lame pair when put together... but that's the best part abt it...jus relaxing and having fun like we should have when we're out with frens... =) there are many others too but muz mention qun today cos afterall, we've been at this for 10 yrs liao lor... =)

this month will be work work and more work... cos gotta rush out my final report for IA and submit it for a good grade to my prof in school.. and also attend to the outings and chalet that we have for insinyur... last but not least, hoping to be able to finish B274's Drive Pipe Support Platform before we leave Keppel FELS... and if everything goes as planned, we shd be able to finish a week before our official last day.. hahaha....

it's gonna be a long long month sia... but will be full of activities lor.... =)

hahaa.... took advantage of the bright and sunny day today to go out for some cruising around on my bike and soaking up the sun... went to get some parts for my bike and then went to bugis to pray and also go look around for a pair of sunglasses... but can't find any good ones that i like so decided to head back anyways.. hahaha....

this next two weeks are gonna be busy busy busy for me again... with activities lined up right to the brim again on both saturdays... haiz... why can't i seem to get my saturdays to myself???

been really looking forward to getting that peaceful day out chilling somewhere and jus relaxing my weekend away with a few close frens... will be nice... but dunno when that'll be... now gotta work on getting back all the planning in order for the camp already while keeping to my tight schedule at work too!! =)

taking the bus....

havent been checking my mail for the past week, and realised that the mailbox got a bit flooded with stuff to clear.... managed to work it out anyways....

was sick since last thursday, wasn't feeling 100% in the morning... and i had to get caught in the rain that was filtered thru rotting clams and other sea creatures in the dry dock... so instead of jus getting wet, i got wet and smelly.... went back to the office to change out into my fresh uniform and sat in the office for the rest of the day... managed to force myself home on the bike shivering and collapsed at home with a fever without anyone at home knowing....

my sister came home and iced me down from my 39.6 deg fever at 3am in the morning... then i went to the doctors the next morning and measured in 40.4deg i believe... hahaha.. was all numb and tired and jus didn't feel like moving, eating or even doing anything at all but lie there and wrap myself up.... called in sick on friday and saturday and continued to stay on the sofa until sunday before i got better enough to head out of the house for light food....

pushed myself back to work on monday, but missed the company bus and didn't wanna ride, so i treated myself to a taxi ride to work which cost my abt $38.50... and after that i decided not to ride if possible to work liao la... otherwise i'll always have a hard time trying to get home... either feeling too tired or sleepy....

so now every morning have to wake up 5am and get out of the house by 5.40 to go catch my morning bus and head to work as per normal.... but only officially 38 more days to go le... my countdown begins... but it also counts down my time to install the drive pipe support platform... my last project at work other than the thrusters...

hope everyone's doing jus as fine!! =)take care ah...

weird thoughts....

have been having weird thoughts lately... hmmm... then was telling my best fren abt it and we more or less confirmed that it was due to too much hard work and the craving for attention grew beyond its limits.. hhaahaha...

well, i'm not the type to settle down too early, but i dun want to settle down too late also.. and i love having children around, even though they can be very annoying at times... hahaha.. but when i get back to reality, i realise something's missing.. hahaha... so the bubble gets burst... =)

well, was attending a course today on main engine and propeller overhaul and maintenance... something totally not related to wat i'm doing now at FELS, but nonetheless still interesting cos some of the terms and stuff i've been talking with my father for so long but was nv able to put a picture to it... it's a nature of mine to nv stop learning new things.. and it makes me wonder if i'm really suited to this line or is it that i'm jus interested in it now cos everything seems very new to me...? this question still baffles me as i have to make the decision to specialise for my final year... hmmm.... wat to do??? how how how?? nows the time when the one who helps advise ppl needs advice himself... hahahahaha... =)

hahaha... yupz... u guessed it... went back to work today... SUNDAY!! haiz... this is the only one downside of working in a shipyard... everyday is working day... hahaha.. and as long as ur project still runs, esp like mine where something new is to be done today... u basically have no choice but go down and take a look and monitor urself... otherwise anything go wrong, our heads will all roll together... hahhaha....

rushed down for East Zone JC CO concert.. well, wat can i say, frankly, it was worth the $2.. nothing more, nothing less... cos seriously, i dunno who planned the concert, but it was a flop in my terms right from the ushers to the emcees and to the performers.. hahaha...

no coordination, not enough practice basicallt killed the concert.. less for the zhong ruan solo which i thoroughly enjoyed.. one of the best versions of the piece i've heard so far...well done!!

i also think i've not been to school concerts for quite some time le ba... forgot that screaming and talking during the performance is something i shd have expected.. hahaha... but nonetheless, it is still a good chance for me to take a look at how jc CO has evolved and how things will be shaping up for the future... looking very hopeful the way i see it... and with such a supportive crowd, i'm glad to say the future of CO is in good hands... hahahaha... lol...

time to go rest liao.. tmr got work again...=) take care everyone!!

jus got home from meeting principal, Mr Oh and Mr Cheng to discuss abt a range of issues pertaining to CO... i can't confirm if it was a fruitful one in the end, but at least we brought up wat we feel needs to be brought up... cos this will eventually lead to an outcome that will affect the entire CO and everyone in it..

well, the school did get a lot of complaints and letters from parents and everyone else with regards to the concert... be it planning, organisational, musically (apparently a parent asked why no encore pieces were played!! ) hahahaha... , and also administratively... there were too many loopholes that led to today's situation... very jialat....

shall not mention wat we talked abt here on the blog, cos i nv know who might be spy... but we were not holding back lor... even i said something that i thought was probably not in my place to do so... but i did mention i was gonna be REALLY frank abt that.. hahaha...

now the ball is back in the teachers' in charge court liao... how they take in the lessons learnt and move on from it is wat i'll be observing.. at least until after the school exams... then i'll make my move liao... cannot bear to see this orchestra go on like this...

work hard, study hard everyone!! exams now or round the corner liao... jia you ah!! =)

was asked in the office today if i was afraid i would get caught by my GM(operations) for staying in the office during working hours, my reply was: if i'm genuinely doing my work, why shd i be afraid? another thing is, if my things are delayed, do you really think i need to be on board doing nothing? i'd rather spend my time more constructively in the office where i cleared a lot more paperwork than any other day... all this goes to show that if u know u're in the right, dun be afraid... if u're really back in the office to eat snake then by all means.... be very afraid.... hahaha....

tmr is the opening ceremony of the safety campaign... our section's entry to the safety campaign board design competition will be showcased tmr... hahaha... hoping it'll win us a prize with good cash sia... hahaha.... dun think anyone else in the yard would go thru the trouble of making a pop up figure from the board jus for such a competition lor... hahaha... but we managed to do it.. hahaha....

The 5 of us with our new model safety worker: Raja... =) hahaha....

was asked to join in a meeting for TMSCO's progress with P and Mr Cheng coming thursday... then checked my email today and found out that P had ald called for a feedback on the concert.. more abt it ask me personally la... not convenient to disclose here.. but really shd have a good talk abt it lor.. otherwise even i'll not dare to return anymore... for i've failed in keeping the CO gg for as long as i can...

am redirecting my attention to the Alumni CO instead, cos the ppl there really care for the CO and are more understanding of the situations... of course they're more fun to play with also la.. hahaha... these days also beginning to click better with the seniors in school liao.. hopefully this will lead to a better working relationship in the end ba.. will see how the meetings turn out in the end la..

anyways, practices have stopped until start of the new school term in end june.. jus fyi... =)

why? cos i finally can begin to barely understand how one feels to be down by one leg.. cos i had to bathe seated on the floor, with my injured leg raised to keep it dry while in a plastic bag... it's worse than doing any stretching anytime...

ok ok... dun start trying to imitate the actions... u'll feel the strain... hahaha....

well, at least i got over the infection fever no thanks to the wound on my big left toe... hahaha... also at the same time got over my cough and flu as well.. hahaha... so that's why today i'm back at work again.. better still, today work until 8.30pm some more... hahaha... tired sia... need slp now...

still got more stuff to finish up tmr...

Rhapsody...

well, after the little episode yesterday i finally managed to make it to the second concert today at Temasek Poly... by TPCO and guests... Rhapsody... 乐宴。

the gang did ask abt me abt my injuries from yesterday... i'm alright.. thanks everyone!! jus limping around a little cos cut my toe and sole... but ok la... generally jus aches and pains on my left side of the body... hahaha....

the concert was wonderful! with a few pieces bringing back quite a bit of memories for me.. and the quality of the music was much much better even though they had practiced lesser... cos everyone is more or less experienced performers liao... so great job ppl!! loved it...

also muz thank jy for sitting with me throughout the concert.. otherwise will be listening alone also... like we both agree... everything was good except for the irritating person next to u... hahahhaa....

last but not least, Happy Belated Birthday Mr Cheng!! hahha... only realised after we were chatting away at Mac after the concert... first time a concert on his birthday exactly!! hahaha... so qiao... but i'm sure the TP ppl celebrated well with u.. so my best wishes... next time then treat u back la.. =)

need slp liao.. too tired... so now falling sick ald... haiz... nitez!!

lucky or unlucky? u decide....

i think i'm really lucky... cos my bike skidded on the way back from jurong on PIE in the rain and jam today... was changing my lane when the van ahead of me came to a stop... to avoid it i took a harder than usual left and braked too hard... skidding to my left side... fell and took a quarter of a turn on the floor with my bike before stopping.. came off with only a few scratches, both me and the bike.. so i'm considering myself to be very very lucky ald...

also partly cos i was riding slowly.. but floor super wet and slippery, so no choice la... this kind of things happen i also cannot control... jus make sure more careful next time la... hahaha...

someone asked me why i dun get stressed so easily while i'm at work... my only answer is dat i was like dat in the past.. didn't differentiate wat i was supposed to do and wat was supposed to be done by others... so i did everything back then... which was the single dumbest thing...

not now....

being able to differentiate and delegate has really made things easier for me and also brought my skills in leading a group to a better level ald... cos only when i can control the whole situation then can others below me feel more at ease... if i kalan kabo all the way everyone surely dunno wat to do one...

applied for hall!! will be the first time in my entire NTU life i'm applying... hopefully will be able to get a room la... but will not be using it full time lor... see how the situation goes first la... =) but by right shdn't have much of a problem ba.... wish me luck!! =)

it pains me to see her come home coughing, tired with all the aches and pains everywhere... seeing her thin out week after week and losing appetite also leaves me helpless... only able to watch and do nothing abt it... cos she refuses to listen...

wat can i do?

i can only watch... and try to keep talking to my mum, trying to get the msg through to her that things are still within control and that she shouldn't give up no matter wat... at the same time i'm spending more time with her as much as i can on top of the tight schedule of mine.... helping her massage the areas that hurt most whenever i can at night...

i'm helpless.... but life still goes on.......
