The Insinyur spirit lives on!!

received an email informing everyone from this year's main comm abt our last meeting next week in school... also in the email was the news of me taking over as chairman of next year's Camp Insinyur main comm...

the confirmation came earlier than i had expected... and i am honoured and thankful for the faith and confidence from my boss in picking me to take up the job.. at the same time, i also wanna thank one and all who've shown me the support and confidence in me taking up main comm posts again.. now, i jus hope dat everyone will continue supporting Camp Insinyur and giving back to Insinyur wat it gave us with the same passion and fire we all have for it!!

now the journey begins... and knowing there's many ppl walking alongside me, it makes everything seem brighter... thanks everyone!! =)

me!!

was having a little chat online and realised how much i've not changed since last time...

hahha... funny right, ppl usually talk abt how much they change throughout the years but i'm jus the opposite lor... haha... then saw how dat i'm still the see ppl happy i'll also be happy kind of guy from last time... it was always abt other ppl back then, but then now it's only abt ppl i care most abt cos it got pretty tiring last time when i was jus caring and worrying abt everyone else except myself... hahaha... but not always now la... at least i'll know when to stop certain things which i think i dun necessarily have to be doing and which doesn't really concern me le.. hahaha.... of course there's the numbing process which follows after everytime u do something and it doesn't turn out well la... feelings are one of those things... hahaha.... suddenly jus dun feel like worrying abt such things for now... hahaha...

well, enough abt me le la... wait ppl reading this feel very tired and sian... hahaha... so boring....

oh ya... i'm looking for bowling and exercise partners sia... damn boring to do these things alone... so if anyone interested pls let me know k? =) i'll be glad to make some arrangements...

suddenly feel like mamboing sia.... hahaha.... see when i feel like it and got ppl jio i'll go la... =)

hyper days...

jus finished a marathon of activities from yesterday night...

u think it's simple? think again.... went cycling with persians at night, supposed to end earlier but cos we started off late, also ended late.... like near 1am... after cycling the coastal route to changi village from east coast park.... worst part was the trip back when we had to take turns to cycle the bike with a punctured rear tyre... hahaha.... shag.... but it brought back some memories and aches and pains too... =) really had loads of fun with the gang, cheering my house cheer along the way and singing and chatting too!! thanks guys!!

then went over to pasir ris PA chalets to meet up with batman who were playing overnight mahjong.. hahhaa.. went thru some of their group's photos and played one round of mahjong, ended up winning $4.90 by 7 plus in the morning.. hahaha... super tired by then.... but really felt nice, warm and welcomed by this group too... rode home to wash up and change before catching a nap.... only to oversleep till 11 plus then then received calls to check if i was joining them at mirama hotel for dim sum which was supposed to be at 11am....

after dragging and resting a bit more i decided to pop by and say hi since i agreed to turn up... also cldn't eat cos today eat vege day.... so ended up gg there to dig for gossip and share some of those which i heard... it was a nice sight and something hopeful to see for insinyurs to come... seniors and juniors from 05/06 till now gathered together, regardless of everything dat we were during camp or outside of camp... chatting, having fun and mingling together....

caught a movie with 3jie and immanuel at cineleisure after dat and went straight down to marina bay MRT station to meet GLs for dinner tonight... though ended up with only a handful and those who were gg overseas soon... it was a nice, cosy small group... jus simply enjoying each other's company at steamboat dinner... =) discussed certain issues i had in mind and cleared some of the doubts i had in my mind these few days... guess things are looking more certain now ba... went for an hour of pool after dat with eugene, shermaine and richard... skills damn rusty sia... but everyone also the same so still not too bad la.. hahha....

took my own sweet time getting home on public transport tonight and simply enjoyed the ride home without having to worry abt road conditions and staying alert all the time... hahaha.... something i always enjoy when i'm like super tired and lazy to ride out to meet ppl sometimes....

hence my long weekend sia... hahaha... now better go catch some slp again, otherwise tmr 2 tuition sure super jialat one sia... =) hahaha... all pls rest well ah.... nitez... =)

happy and lost....

suddenly dunno wat i wanted to post tonight liao... hahaha...

well, went to celebrate my god grandmother's 91st birthday.. yeah... basically she's my dad's god mother... hence god grandma... made me realise dat everything else really doesn't matter in the end, but jus to be sure u're happy with life can le... =) even though she's now stuck in a wheelchair cos the doctors can't operate on her to get her hip back in order again due to her heart condition, she's still happily zipping around in her wheelchair in and out of her house... haha...

wanted to go for the sporting spectrum thank u dinner, but cldn't make it in time... so dropped an sms to annie and gang.. haha.. really hope to be able to meet up with them sometime soon to catch up properly.. haha... they're really a great bunch to work with and like i've told them, next time got any events need help can jus let me know... hahaha...

heard abt all the group outings these few days and decided to see if i can cut in on the fun and action too.. haha... heard grimmjow went mamboing last night... then tmr got night cycling for persians and also overnight mahjong sessions for batman too.. haha =)

who knew that even after camp there wld be so many activities.... and of course things to do and think of too.. =) nitez everyone.. =)

jus got disconnected from my msn.. also dunno why... but watever la...

but while chatting, can see dat a lot of my GLs are all very happy and high from Camp Insinyur!! not only dat, their juniors as well... haha... outings after outings i heard, until some of the GLs cannot keep up with them liao... hahaha.... really happy to hear all dat...

this is all dat we've worked so hard for... for everyone to enjoy camp and leave camp with a whole new bunch of fresn to start them off on their uni life... cos this was wat insinyur gave to me.... and this is wat i'm giving back to it... passing the flame and spirit of insinyur back to others like myself... =)

the sense of accomplishment and the feeling dat i've achieved wat i've set out to do when i first took the post of CGL is something words can nv describe... it's been a learning journey for myself too throughout this entire process... so much of this will stay with me thru my life... and so will many of the frens i've made here...

thank u one and all of insinyur!! u've all really brightened up my day and my life... thank u to one and all.. =)

the lonely bug suddenly decided to bite me in the a** today n jus had the urge to start calling ppl out to jus hang around n do nothing... but realised dat a lot of my frens dun have the luxury of time like i do right now.... most have activities on or others jus simply have their bfs or gfs to attend to.. of course not forgetting the fact dat i'm like super broke now too... hahaha...

i dun blame them... nobody shd n nobody can... it's jus a natural process in life... well, we all need a little quiet time to ourselves sometimes don't we? but most of the time, many ppl jus go crazy with these quiet times because everyone's so used to hanging around with loads of frens having so many things to do ald... so much so dat simple things dat they used to enjoy are pushed aside...

the only one thing dat nv fails to perk me up is an early morning ride on my bike to nowhere... hahaha... n i did dat during the course of the camp last week to keep me sane... otherwise i wldn't want to imagine wat wld have become of me if i had not done dat.. =)

i still have abt slightly more than a week to go before school starts again.. still have a few appointments to attend to.. other than dat i'm a very free person.. will try and see wat i can do in the meantime la... haha.. shd be quite interesting.. will try and post them here if i have the time to... =)

and as i always say.. sometimes, fun doesn't necessarily have to be expensive u know... hahaha..

Insinyur!!

Camp Insinyur 07/08 has ended..

boy, was it an eventful one... for freshies, it was a lot of fun and tiring days and nights together with their GLs and everyone else along with it...

but for us, we've had tough times man.... and i really mean tough times... but i shan't mention it here since it's all over... and of course, being an advocator of not looking back on things all the time, i shdn't be a bad example.. hahaha...

all i hope for now is for the insinyur spirit to live on in all of us and be passed on to more and more engineering students in NTU who's lives it has touched...

a big thanks to the main comm of this year's insinyur.. learnt a lot from all of u and had loads of fun, sweat and tears too...

the programmers were wonderful too... in managing to keep the programme running no matter wat... at the same time trying to have some fun out of it all...

not forgetting my ever so loveable GLs!! i really love u guys... cos without u guys, i wldn't have had the strength nor the will to pull through the entire camp... ur energy, ur passion and enthusiasm jus kept everything and everyone going for as long as they cld during the camp... i'm also very sorry for having blown up a few times thru the duration of the camp at u guys too... but no thanks can be enough from me to u all!! =)

my dear freshies!! hahaha... i really hope u enjoyed the camp and had as much fun as we hope u'd have.... cos dat's wat we're all here for... FUN!! =) and having fun together is the only aim of Camp Insinyur!! =)

nv have i had the birthday song sung to me so many times on one birthday, from 12 midnight when it first started on the 19th, it jus went on and on until i didn't know when it stopped.. hahaha... seeing everybody have fun was the best present for me le... =) thank u all for a memorable 23rd birthday!! =)

got my voice all husky hoarse now after all the shouting and cheering throughout the week... but it was so worth it man!! =) but coupled with the ultra lack of sleep and the skipping of meals led me to very painful tonsils... hahaha... and feeling sleepy everyday..

hope everyone is doing fine as well!! GLs will most probably be meeting up this Saturday for dinner and K... will fill u guys in on more details once they're tied down... =)
