FOOD!!

went for TMSA exco meeting in the morning, then met up with yunn boon, vincent at city hall later in the evening... walked over to glutton's bay for food because the three of us were quite hungry and there we could order quite a lot and share... in the end really ordered quite a table full, each of us ordering two dishes each.. there was fried kway teow, fried prawn noodles, oyster omelette, fried carrot cake, satay and chiken wings... hahha.. had a very filling dinner, then took a walk until we got to marina square and sat down at the Starbucks.. Qingxian then joined us and we simply sat there and chatted abt our hols, vincent's trip to shanghaiand a lot of other things.. hahaha... very rare of us to do dat, cos we usually see each other in school and study finish liao then go back le.. hahaha... so it was something different...

muz find more chill out places.. cos too many ppl, too much noise... no peace... hahaha... if u guys know of some places do recommend k?

jus got back from my nephew's first birthday celebrations.. went over to their new house to take a look as well... the boy growing to become more mischievious liao... hahaha... hopefully wil change as he grows up la....

later tonight still considering if i shd go attend hsinghai's concert at SCH... a bit tired and nobody accompany so i dun really feel like attending also...hahaha.... though i do attend concerts alone to totally soak in the music and not talk to anyone... hahaha... if i go tonight will be more of show face again lor... hahaha....

at the same time also wanna think abt how to arrange for accomodations for the Keat Hwa students when they come by Singapore next time la.. =) shd be quite busy ba...

can keep myself occupied.. cos dun intend to go squeeze with ppl on New Year's eve.. hehehehe.... =)

long day...

had a very nice day with the big gang from insinyur... cycling from east coast to bedok reservoir and back... hahaha... the turnout was good and the ppl who came were very fun to hang around with too!! hahaha...

tried out the numbers and the different routes dat we could take and eventually came out with a ppretty good idea of how things are gg to be like... not too bad... well done to all who were part of this!! =)

had to rush off to another dinner after dat with TMSCO conductor and fren Xian Yang... went to a very nice italian restaurant along Upp East Coast Road... will put in the name next time... then went to the cheesecake cafe to chill a little... had a good chat over almost everything and anything... hahaha... a totally different experience for me altogether...

was invited to join the conductors up in KL for the weekend, but got too many things tied up ald, so i'll jus have to look Mr Goh another time when he pops by Singapore la... hahaha... no scared no chance la... =)

then woke up super early this morning for no good reason... i also dunno why... so i jus decided i'll switch on my laptop to go surfing on the net and eventually go check my results... i've been pretty indifferent abt it lately, since my CGPA can't seem to jump back anymore after that little episode in year two... hahaha... so i tried to pull it up this sem, only being able to match it up to my yr 1 sem 1 results... slightly better, with nothing less than a B... but no As which i desperately needed... it was an overloaded semester anyway... so i shall not let it bother me anymore... now jus gonna focus on my IA...

Keppel Offshore and Marine... hmmm... well, jus hearing dat my saturday mornings are burnt kills me, because my march concert plans will be ruined... but then again, after much discussion, i have decided it's abt time i took a more behind the scenes role, ever since this trip up, i've realised that not only the students need advice, the teachers in charge sometimes do need that little extra help too... so i shall offer my services in the area i know best... musically, only when i have more time... not this sem ba....

oh ya... me gonna work 7.30 to 4.30 everyday and 7.30 to 11.30 every sat... dat's the plan for now la... as for pay, $600... hahaha... i know some will be like, WAH!! Cheap Labour ah!! well, wat more do you expect of attachments?i'm jus glad i got the job in the first place... thinking more long term... =)hehehe... hope so la... =)

Merry Christmas...

went out with a fren last night to go catch up on food and also the lights on orchard road... had a great meal at Nihon Mura.. a very nice jap restaurantwith very reasonable prices for the sushi there... other dishes are very nice too!! =)

then went down to orachard to find the street open for ppl to walk on and take photos with the floats there and everything.. hahaha... but there wasn't really much to take there and the weather last night was too humid to accept ba... hahaha... so settled in a cafe for coffee and chit chat... talking abt anything and everything dat can be talked abt... hahahaha.... had some good exchanges on thoughts and opinions.. hmmmm.....

the night was still early so decided to go east coast for some see breeze... luckily there was some good weather there so it wasn't dat bad... but only bad thing were the cockroaches which kept disturbing... hahaha... had a super cooling ride on the way back...cold but damn shiok man... hehehe...

this has got to be one of the better christmas nights in many years... because i've been having pretty rocky christmas for the past couple of years.... it was a nice change for me... simple and nice... sometimes, the company really makes a lot of difference doesn't it? hahahaha.... =)

looking forward to insinyur outing tmr oh!! =) more fun!! =)but my leg still trying to recover... hopefully it does before i start work... otherwise it'll be very troublesome... =)

I'M BACK!!

heehee... finally back from malaysia...

the trip was indeed very wonderful... a very worthwhile trip for me at least... i got to meet very very very friendly ppl who treated us like VVIPs, great frens whom i'd probably have for as long as i can... and a whole bunch of children who have inspired me even more to work harder for CO... be it personally or for the school... but individually i still can... school wise... see how la hor... we'll work things out somehow...

the eight of us alumni thoroughly enjoyed ourselves this entire trip, interacted and mixed well with students of SMJK Keat Hwa School (1)... bus ride took 12 hours to reach penang so we went around on a van booked by the tour agent.. then headed to Alor Star to get to the hotel.. Grand Crystal it is called.. a five storey 3 start hotel... hahahaha.... first impression very bad... no other comments... but grew to love that place anyways in the end.... hahaha....

met up with the conductor over there Mr Goh Suk Liang... a local who grew up in the town and eventually became one of the best CO instructor in the whole of Malaysia... Found out that CO was considered a Uniformed group.. so the students actually had to be very disciplined... which was a very good thing also... hahaha.... had threee meals in one dinner that night.. apparently, locals always like to treat guests to food when they're entertaining them... so we were the very first on the slaughter... hahahaha....

had a very grand dinner hosted by the school board in the 5 star StarCity Hotel nearby and the children arrived slightly late cos of the flight they took was a little later.... had a crazy session of writing my contacts to the Keat Hwa students who had little booklets made with all our names printed on it, so they had to search for everyone of us to complete the book... hahaha... was very fun...

next day was practice all day... went for combined practice in the morning and afternoon, then followed by Keat Hwa's practice at the concert stage that night after we were invited to play as guests players on stage with them... those were the more fun pieces to play... hahahah....

next day was all concert preparations till 7pm when everything was put in place for the start of the ceremony at 7.30pm... practiced and ran around like mad trying to see to everything... all that was left was the concert... it started off well and ended off with nothing but praises... hahaha... took a combined group photo and then the students jus parted ways like dat.... such a pity there wasn't any sending off or farewell and stuff... jus like dat, our students left for penang the next day for a day of shopping and sightseeing where i had more chances to take photos.... hehehe.... then they took a flight back whilst the 8 of us alumni waited for our bus ride back which we got off at around 8.40am... had a little bit of breakfast and then discussed some things abt Keat Hwa's coming next March for their visit and called it a morning... took two cabs home and that was all... hahaha.... of course there were loads n loads of funny stuff that happened there but if i were to finish it all in one go then i think ppl will simply waste the later parts... next time k? i need to slp also... still havent sleep yet... hahahha....

ooh... i didn't mention my amazingly swollen left leg throughout the entire trip which basically i ignored until when it couldn't fit into any shoes anymore... hahahaha.... still recovering, but it'll be fine... i can still walk, jump and run... hehehe... jus slower only... =)

a trip i'll never forget... thank you one and all who made it happen.... =)

nice but expensive day....

hahaha... as u can probably infer, i've spent quite a sum on somethings... hahaha... changed money for the trip tmr and also popped karl heng for some cds that have been long overdue for me... but i probably went a little too far... hahaha... buying three at one go is quite a heavy blow to my wallet sia.. hahaha... but nonetheless, i love the cds i bought, some are 5 years overdue la... so i feel it's worth it lor... hahaha... wallked around aimlessly again today at bugis after picking up something from my bro in law.. then went around shopping for nice things to give to a student of the exchange program... hahaha... still searching, but will probably buy something tmr after practice la...

hahhaa... i've been questioned how long i can stay in TMS as alumni in the orchestra, i basically thought to myself, as long as i like and as long as i want to... cos there really isn't a cap to the age limit dat u can be an alumni right? hahaha... of course there muz be suitable practice times in which i can attend ma.. otherwise how to join right? =) butall i can say is dat it being my love of my life, it'll somehow be a part of me forever...

well, last night liao... anything jus look for me after i get back from the trip la... remember, dun msg or call me oh.... will be very expensive.... hehe...

it's been a long time since i've left home for a long time... one week, long but not very long also la... but at least doing wat i love while i'm out of town... hahaa...

it'll be a great experience to be able to venture out of singapore to see wat the field is like elsewhere.. hhaha...

will be out of town in Alor Star from the 19th to the 23rd December.. So pls try to refrain from calling me during this period of time... hahaha... cos it'll be VERY VERY expensive oh.... =)

CO is my life....

jus as many other things matter a lot to everyone differently... CO is another part of my life... been at it for 14 years... a lot longer than anyone else who's not playing professionally right now.. hahaha... but i know i dun have the talent.. .so i shall focus my attention on playing certain simple stuff in the music and the rest of it on other areas like organisation and stage stuff... with all these years of managing different orchestras under different principals, teachers in charge and even conductors, i hope my experience will be of service to the new and younger teachers who apparently have much less exposure in this field... this is the only way i figured out i can help without becoming a teacher myself.. hahaha.. but it also depends on the teacher in charges' willingness to accept my assistance... having met so many teachers all these years, i can safely say i've identified some teachers to be less accepting of help from others, esp ppl younger and supposedly inexperienced... but well... i've offered.. and i jus hope to be able to keep the orchestra gg for as long as possible la...

CO wan4 sui4!! hahaha... jia you everyone!! =)love music... love each other... love urself most importantly... otherwise there wun be any love to give at all.... =)

crowds....

cannot stand crowds very much these days unless i'm with a crowd myself... hahaha... but seriously, the crowds are seriously big and human traffic is as terrible as the vehicle traffic on the roads sia... hahaha.... so unless u're in for a squeeze or ald have a good spot to sit in and chill very early, i wldn't advise on a trip down to orchard road unless u really wanna go see the lights which are pretty nice... hahaha...

took the opportunity the other day to take a good ride in the rain without my raincoat... hahaha... nice... been a while since i last did dat... wonderful feeling... hahaha...

like i told a fren, things have really changed for me in 2007, be it in terms of how i lead my life, or how i view things and see everything in general... all changed and very different.. hahaha... how things have slowed down so much for me... from my walking to my decision making and everything else... there has really been so much change for me this past year... which i see is a good thing and i shd also say something dat's natural and something dat i had to go thru...

realisation... dat's wat happened... =)

cycling is still my love...

being able to jus jump on my bicycle and go anywhere my feet takes me is really enjoyable, because i can simply jus cycle and cycle, soaking up the atmosphere and the environment and all... simply lovely....

now jus taking some time to readjust my mind and my sense of direction with the way i'm dealing with things right now... yupz... i've been dealing with a lot of things in the wrong way in the past... now's a good time to make the necessary changes liao la... then i can give my best in watever i do, regardless of wat others think of me... =) too sick and tired once again of letting everyone's views run my life...

i'm living my life, my way, but of course with everyone as a part of it dat is... hahaha... =)

jus as soon as i decided to start exercising again, i caught a cold and fell terribly sick... jus before my last two papers.. well, can't be helped.. struggled thru them and now finally getting my health back..

yesterday went out with qun in the afternoon, picking her up from school to jus go out aimlessly.. hahaha.. dat's wat we always do... always meeting up to do aimless stuff... i like dat actually... cos then we dun have to do stuff, but jus chit chat nonsense along the way... walked the whole of vivocity, only heading into one shop where she tried on some jeans while i kept gaving her my opinions.. hahaha... never saw myself as a fashion consultant, but i do give some pretty good advice i muz say.. hahaha... jus dat i'm lazy to say it most of the time and others dun really think too much about me in dat sense because i'm always too lazy to dress myself up... hahaha... in the end jus kept walking and chatting the entire afternoon and then dropped her off to send food for her bf and sent her home cos he was preparing for exams.. hahaha... but i'm sure they had a good day today la... =)

finally finished packing half of my room.. now thinking of wat my whole december will be like... cos got quite a bunch of things to accomplish oh... =) time to take stock of everything liao...

in the meantime, everyone have loads of rest and have loads more of fun too ya!! =)
